Around June of 2010, I will be packing my bags from my home in Los Angeles, California and heading to the south of France on a language study program. I am in my third year of French so I am really looking forward to improving my language skills and becoming more fluent in French. I am also excited about being immersed in the culture and bringing my Armenian/American background to the other students I meet. I am also thrilled to be living in a dorm because it will prepare me for college.
My family supports my decision wholeheartedly, and as those closest to me know, I have been talking about going to France for three years now. I have saved up a lot of money and my parents have agreed to pay whatever I don't raise. However, during these difficult financial times I hope to help them out by raising most of the money.
